Casting Pin Assembly Management Tool

Casting Pin Assembly Management Tool helps the customer in the Die Casting Design Process by simplifying and streamlining the pin selection, assembling, un-assembling, creating of Quilts, and reporting the pins using sorting table. During this process, there was a lot of information being transferred from the upstream design, which posed the serious bottleneck for the customer. Sconce implemented the solution by customizing the customer specific Annotation Feature functionality just introduced in Pro/ENGINEER, even before the it was released to the public, by closely working with PTC R & D and the Customer.

• Automatic Propagation of Information from Upstream
• Exploited use of Annotation Feature based Customization Automatic CSYS determination, Pin Type selection & display of suitable Step Choices.
• Automatic Trimming of Planes
• Feature to create Hole Quit Cuts
• Modification of Hole Quilts
• Display of Pin List in Sorting Table User Interface.
• Centralized control from Sorting Table
• Reporting of Pins from Sorting Table.
